Holistic Wellbeing Program: Connection and Community

Sometimes the hardest part of a tough week is not having anyone to share it with. That is what the Connection and Community session is designed to address. On Monday 22 June from 10am to 12pm, MIFANT and Just FLO are coming together at MiPlace Hub in Coconut Grove for a free, low-pressure wellbeing workshop built around one simple idea: you do not have to do this alone.

What is the Holistic Wellbeing Program?
The Holistic Wellbeing Program is a partnership between MIFANT and Just FLO, which stands for Figuring. Life. Out. Together, we run a series of recovery-focused workshops at MiPlace Hub throughout the year. Each session is built around a different theme and is designed to be creative, welcoming, and completely free of pressure.
The Connection and Community session on 22 June is exactly what it sounds like. It is a space to meet people, build relationships, and feel a little less alone in whatever you are carrying right now.
What actually happens in the session?
You show up. That is the first step, and often the hardest one.
From there, the session guides you through activities focused on building real connection. Not forced conversation or awkward icebreakers, but genuine opportunities to be around others who understand what it is like to navigate life with mental health challenges.
By the end of the two hours, you will have built some emotional safety, strengthened your links to support services, and hopefully left feeling a bit more confident than when you arrived.
Who is this for?
This session is open to anyone in Darwin who wants more connection in their life. You do not need a referral, a diagnosis, or any prior experience with MIFANT. You just need to show up.
If you are currently supported by MIFANT or accessing services through MiPlace Hub, this is a great complement to what you are already doing. If you are new and not sure where to start, this is as gentle an entry point as you will find.
Where and when?
Connection and Community takes place on Sunday 22 June from 10am to 12pm at MiPlace Hub, located at 2/273 Bagot Road, Coconut Grove. The session is free.
